Principal HR Generalist
Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) provides technical, scientific and professional services for defense, federal and commercial customers worldwide. With annual sales of $2 billion and more than 9,000 employees, RTSC specializes in Product Support, Mission Support, Counter-proliferation and Counter-terrorism, Customized Engineering and Manufacturing, and base and range operations. This position will support the Mission Support Business Unit, specifically the Air Traffic Controller Optimum Training Solution (ATCOTS) program effort. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical Human Resources leadership in support of the Integrated Support Services (ISS) Business Unit's Air Traffic Controller Optimum Training Solutions (ATCOTS) program efforts. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager for the ATCOTS program and will be located in the Raytheon ATCOTS Program Management Office in Rosslyn, Va. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Prinicipal HR Generalist will: Provide HR consulting services to management and approximately 1000 employees in the U.S, located at various air traffic command centers and towers located across the nation. Provide guidance in the areas of performance management, leadership development, compensation, employee relations, communications & change consulting, training & development, diversity and organizational effectiveness. Ensure site Affirmative Action plans are authored, reviewed, and management is trained and prepared for potential audit. Counsel management on matters concerning the development of operational staff as well as on issues relating to the current workforce and on hiring decisions. Educate employees and leaders on Raytheon's performance management program. Support and implement programs consistent with the goals and objectives of the Company diversity plan. Participate in Company counsels such as: Benefits, compensation, Compliance, etc; as required, will conduct on-site investigations in to issues and work with the HR Manager on defining conclusion and/or resolution. REQUIRED SKILLS: 6-8 years HR experience as a Generalist or Manager. Must be able to influence and demonstrate strong leadership skills at various levels of the organization, be innovative and agile and get results. Strong and proven communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to coach and consult effectively. Work may involve sitting for extended periods of time, computer work. Must be proficient in People Soft, Data Warehouse. Some travel required. Must be computer literate with advanced knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Must be able to initiate own work and work in a team environment. Will be required to use Same-time and conduct web-based research. Current familiarity with Raytheon Technical Services Company standard practices and procedures. Must be able to work independently as well as in a group dynamic. Additional working hours as required. Will be expected to comply with all OSHA and Company safety standards. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Master's degree desired.
