Bring your talent and skills to the following IDS group: EDD: Raytheon's Electronic Design Directorate (EDD) provides engineering design, integration and production to core radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system competencies including process and control, integration and test, power systems, torpedo and sonar electronics, receivers and exciters, antennas and microwave subassemblies. The Power and Electronic Systems Department in the EDC has responsibility for the following areas: *Power System Design - Power System Noise, System Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators *Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, PFC, ZVS, ACS and Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls *Power Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems *Power Design - Filter, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetic Design, Overload, Short Circuit, Stress Analysis *Mixed Signal Design - Receiver A/D Converters, Direct Digital Converters, Receiver D/A Converters, Digital Waveform Generators, Mixed Signal CCAs, Mixed Signal Modules and Subsystems *Digital Hardware - Subsystem/Module Digital Circuits, FPGA/ASICs, Beam Steering, Mixed Process/Photonics/Sensors, COTS systems, COTS interfaces, Subsystem Development, VME/PCI *Digital Systems - System Trades, Architecture, Embedded Processing *Software Design - Real-time Signal Processing, Beam Steering, Embedded Software Job Description: The position is for a senior level Communications Engineer experienced in the development of military, commercial off-the-shelf, and custom communication networks to achieve system requirements. Candidate will work with Systems Engineers and other development team members to translate system performance and operational specifications into proven communications subsystem designs. Candidate should also expect to work closely with and mentor junior engineers. Basic Qualifications Skills: This position requires the following: - A minimum of 10 years experience in the development of communications network subsystems (voice, message, and data) for U.S. Government or Military applications. - Experience developing and trading off subsystem concepts as well as component and interface requirements from top level system specifications, - Experience performing RF signal integrity analysis. - Experience writing detailed verification test plans and test reports. - Experience working in a communications hardware integration environment using state-of-the-art equipment to test and verify the functions of communications subsystems. . Minimum Degree: BS in EE (Advanced degree preferred) Desired Qualifications Skills: It is desirable that the candidate have experience working with the equipment, standards, and protocols in the following communications technology areas: * Area Common User System (ACUS), Combat Net Radio (CNR) and the Army Data Distribution System (ADDS) wide area network equipment such as switches, routers, multiplexers, encryption and UHF/VHF radios. * Tri-Service Tactical (TRI-TAC) multi-channel switched communications equipment such as the AN/TTC-39 family of switches and SINCGARS CNR, JTIDS, EPLRS and AN/GRC-245 radios. * Commercial TCP/IP networks, routing protocols and communications standards (802.11, 802.16). * Excellent communication and presentation skills Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
