Job Description: Participate as a member of the Raytheon Network Centric Systems (NCS) Information Assurance team to assure that Information Technology (IT) platforms, networks, and applications, both internal and external, are secure in a rapidly changing threat environment. Help shape key aspects of Raytheon's enterprise-wide security initiative, and direct implementation of portions of that initiative within NCS. Review, improve, and where appropriate establish new multi-platform and multi-vendor security architectures that support the diverse and geographically dispersed NCS business. The successful candidate will: -Work closely with the NCS and Raytheon Enterprise Information Assurance teams, and the various NCS IT site teams, to continuously improve Raytheon's security leadership and posture. -Work proactively to identify and help remediate security vulnerabilities across NCS. -Serve as a technical leader and mentor on IT infrastructure security, providing leadership by example. -Represent NCS on the various Raytheon governance councils and teams that establish information assurance directions, policy, and implementation priorities. -Lead NCS implementation of key security initiatives and actions, as appropriate. -Rapidly react to and participate in incident response activities and investigations, when necessary. -Assist in the education of, and communication of security messages to, NCS employees ranging from senior executives to individual contributors. Required Skills: Must possess demonstrated ability to apply security knowledge to a range of computer platforms and operating systems, and a range of networking environments. System and security administrator knowledge for Windows platforms and Cisco networks is a must. Must have ability to self-identify and self-initiate tasks required to achieve short and long-term security goals and objectives. Ability to consult with and work as a member of a team is critical. Ability to coach and mentor others is very important. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Desired Skills: Project management skills will be beneficial in this position. Confirmation of technical skills via achievement of appropriate Microsoft and Cisco security certifications is a plus. Required Education (including Major): B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Security Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required. An appropriate industry certification, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), is desirable. Other Information: NCS is a geographically dispersed organization. Travel to NCS locations in the U.S. and Canada will be required. Will consider work locations other than McKinney, TX. However, work location must be a major NCS site (Dallas / McKinney, TX; Fort Wayne, IN; Fullerton, CA; Marlboro, MA; or St. Petersburg, FL).
