This position is located in our MD, Andrews AFB facilityInterdisciplinary, award-winning technical team needs the support and depth of an expert, hands-on hardware manager and systems administrator who is equally confident leading, following and working unsupervised.The successful team member will be adept in all aspects of hardware deployment (laptop and racked servers; networking components; wireless, wired and fiber LANS, etc) and configuration in a virtualized, Microsoft-heavy server environment (32- and 64-bit, Windows Server 2003, Exchange, SQL, Office Communications Server, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, etc)—all in a constantly mobile environment where servers and clients in various configurations and numbers are prepared and taken to Air Force Wargaming events around the world.An active SECRET or active interim-Secret clearance is mandatory.Requires education or certification (i.e., Associates/BA/BS in IT, or MCSA, MCSE, etc) and work experience in skills relevant to job responsibilities.Requires 5-8 years experience in hardware and system administration.Write and manage Certification and Accreditation packages for classified and unclassified standalone, deployable networks. Assist with client image development and "ghosting." Perform site surveys at potential venues, US and abroad, where the IT equipment may be deployed; negotiate with facility managers for placement of equipment and use of theirs. Train other system administrators on the team to help as well as to lead small teams.Anticipate travel in CONUS as well as Europe and the Pacific area for approximately 1-2 weeks, 4-8 times per year (depending on team size and equipment requirements).Submit Your Resume Online Now
