PLC Programmer/Software Engineer

PLC Programmer / Software Engineer 

 

The qualified applicant will be a skilled PLC Programmer / Software Engineer to provide design, programming and implementation of software control systems specific to client requirements. The right candidate will exhibit expertise and leadership in providing solutions that accommodate custom engineered processing and ancillary FAB equipment. Candidates will also be responsible for providing documentation for projects.

 

Job Responsibilities 

·  PLC (AB RSLogix 500 and 5000 & Siemens S7 preferred) development & programming

·  HMI (AB,C-More, Phoenix Contact, Siemens) development & programming

·  Generate electrical schematics (Orcad Capture), Bill of Materials and define control systems based on customer specific requirements

·  Electrical cost estimating for RFQ’s

·  Component selection to meet customer and specification requirements cost effectively

·  Oversight of hard wiring layout and appearance

 

Skills Required

 

·  BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s)

·  SEMI/CE experience is required

·  Must possess the ability to identify safety and operational requirements of equipment.

·  Wet Process, Bulk Delivery Systems, Automation and Web processing background required.

·  Strong troubleshooting skill and project management

·  Occasional travel to define customer requirements, provide field support and support installation and start-up activities.
