This is a fast-paced position in which you will be involved in diverse optical engineering programs. We are looking for a team player with proven problem solving abilities. You must possess a BSME, or equivalent, as well as 5-10 years design experience. The chosen candidate will be required to demonstrate his/ her opto-mechanical design ability immediately after hire. Our products extend from complex custom assemblies to high volume optical assemblies and components. Company specializes in the manufacture of infrared imaging products and our in-house capabilities allow unique design solutions.
Required Skills:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.Trained in Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), per ANSI Y14.5Demonstrated success in a team-oriented environment. Thorough knowledge of SolidWorks, (AutoCAD experience a plus)FEA analysis and simulation, a plusEnthusiastic self-starterDemonstrated ability to prioritize assignments.Excellent written and oral communication skills needed for frequent customer interaction. Experience designing and prototyping precision opto-mechanical assembliesAbility to create detailed drawings with appropriate tolerancing to assure form, fit and functionStrong analytical skillsHands-on skills and abilitiesExperience working with machine shopsThis position will also require ongoing support of our line of catalog products
