The Position
The Operations Team Leader/Quality Engineer will be responsible for team leadership, projects, and resources of an operations area. The Team Leader will provide guidance and leadership in aerospace quality functions and endeavors. This person will manage a 4 person Quality Engineering Group, as well as the internal, supplier, and customer-related root cause corrective action programs. He/she will also maintain quality metric programs and lead recovery actions when required. In addition, this Engineer will host customer audits and act as the primary Quality Engineer for the company’s clients.
Candidate Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline, plus 5 – 7 years of related experience, including experience managing, supervising, or leading people. In addition, candidates should have the following:
¨ Excellent math skills, including the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane/solid geometry and trigonometry
¨ Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
¨ Strong problem-solving ability
¨ Ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
¨ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
¨ APICS certification is preferred
Compensation
The company offers an attractive compensation in the range of $85K - $105K, depending on level of experience.
