Network/Systems Administrator
The Systems Engineering Group (SEG) of QinetiQ North America provides high-value engineering, software solutions, logistics information management, flight training and IT technical support services to the U.S. Department of Defense, allied governments and select commercial partners.

US Citizenship required.The Network/Systems Administrator installs, configures, and supports an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system, a segment of a network system, or organization's computers and servers. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network or servers to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network and system availability. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.QualificationsThis position requires a Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience.Knowledge and experience with networking defined by formal or on-the-job training with a medium to large scale network.Experience with installation and maintenance of routers & switches. The following skills/experience would be a plus:Network management tools such as HP Openview, What's Up Gold, MRTG or PRTG to document network configurations.Serial communictions experience and ATM.Windows-based workstations and servers experience to include domain-related work.Project Management experience both in overseeing & managing projects.
