Network Security Systems Test and Evaluation Engineer Description:Coordinate operational and developmental test and evaluation of networks and network-based information assurance mechanisms. Supervise and assist the development and implementation of test plans. Research system under evaluation as necessary to acquire the level of knowledge required to perform test and evaluation activities (e.g., CONOPS, technology involved, interaction with key organizations and personnel). Design and implement large-scale laboratory configurations to support test and evaluation of diverse network and security technologies. Develop and implement test and evaluation plans. Supervise and assist in data collection, formal data analysis, and report generation. Coordinate evaluation team activities. Interface with sponsor and other organizations as required. Develop operational test requirements and evaluation metrics (MOEs, MOPs, etc.).Qualifications:Requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering degree. 2-3 years experience with operational test and evaluation. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead teams and work independently, outstanding written and oral communications skills, and good organizational skills. Strong interest in network security performance evaluation. Desires a MSEE or MSCS (with emphasis on network performance and applied network security research). 5-10 years experience with operational test and evaluation. Knowledge of communication system and network theory and operation. Prior experience working with DoD and Intelligence Community sponsors.
