Network Security Engineer
Position is for a Network Security System Engineer with strong technical and communications skills needed to support ongoing and emerging programs that provide security awareness. Candidate will support development of system architecture, perform system analysis; design, and development phase of programs with focus CONOPS, data fusion, requirements generation, data mining and common server COTS integration. Additional responsibilities include supporting vulnerability assessments, and certification and accreditation activities using DITSCAP, NIACAP, and DCID 6/3 as required. Candidate must be able to meet the following criteria: -Knowledge: Complete understanding and wide application of technical theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. -Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. -Discretion: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. -Impact: Contributes to the completion of specific program and projects. -Liaison: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Required Skills: -Strong systems engineering process knowledge. - Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills -Knowledgeable/experience in designing and accrediting complex, high-security information systems; certifying and accrediting systems using DITSCAP, NIACAP, or DCID 6/3. -Candidate must possess a current Top Secret with at least a single scope background investigation (or equivalent) with a periodic review that is less than five years old. Desired Skills: -Security certifications (i.e. CISSP) are a plus. -Experience with technical leadership or participant on large Systems Integration programs. -Experience in COTS server integration -Network and Communications Engineering -Recent experience deploying information assurance solutions for DoD systems (JWICS, SIPRNET, NIPRNET) is a plus. -EVMS and IMS experience. -Experience in requirements development and management tools (DOORS). -Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPN products, trusted products, high assurance guards, HAIPE, and Type-I cryptographic devices. multi-platform experience (Trusted Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows) is a plus. -Test Planning, development, execution and analysis -Minimum of 4 years of related experience Required Education (including Major): B.S./B.A. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience/education.
