That's why we're here. My Boeing Fleet (MBF) Analyst/Developer 3 Position Description Join a dynamic team contributing to Boeing's next generation of e-Business solutions. The ideal candidate will consults with customers to research and analyze requirements for application or system design. Translates requirements into functional or technical specifications. Designs, develops, programs, tests, implements and documents computing applications; contributes to the design, integration and documentation of system architecture. Gathers and evaluates end user requirements. Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design. Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality. Documents, validates, researches and dispositions reported end user problems; develops and assists in delivery of user training. Reviews system architecture performance and identifies and recommends improvements. Supports change management by communicating customer needs, estimates and risk assessment to business partners and process owners. Works under general direction. Competencies General/LeadershipTechnical [ + ] Analytical Skills Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level. [ + ] Application Analysis Complete ability to analyze business domain knowledge, requirements analysis, develop business domain process models. Analyzes for improvements, develops investment decisions, designs and performs product verification & validation. [ + ] Customer/Supplier Knowledge Complete knowledge of customer's/supplier's organization, processes, policies and procedures, products, requirements, capabilities, practices, support resources, preferences, constraints, etc. [ + ] Data Model/Architecture Complete ability to build conceptual (business objects), logical (systems), and/or physical (database) models using computer tools. Integrates models across domains and applications and translates models from one level (e.g. conceptual) to another (logical). [ + ] Software Dev Life Cycle Complete knowledge of the concepts and processes of managing a software system throughout the entire life cycle. Ability to participate in all stages of the software development life cycle. [ + ] System/Data Architecture Complete ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and specific business process viewpoint; integrates the data into a computing system and application architecture. Complete ability to interrelate, from system architecture, design, build, test, and deploy the fundamental aspects needed to produce effective computing solutions. [ + ] Usability & Funct Testing Complete knowledge of usability and navigation on multiple platforms as well as functionality testing processes. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information The ideal candidate will have experience building detailed/implementable software architecture and designs. And have a track record of developing and delivering features in J2EE leveraging Tomcat, WebLogic, Jboss and or WebSphere. *** Please note that depending on the specific position, you may be required to pass additional medical tests, credit checks, and/or other requirements.
