Job Responsibilities: The Manager of Project Engineering will lead a staff of Engineers responsible for projects that span the Advanced Materials Business Unit, both Lincoln and Marion Operations. The Project Engineering Manager will work closely with the Engineering Director in defining and establishing consistent project management processes across the Business Unit. Project Engineering will be the technical leadership for all development and production transition programs. Project Engineering is responsible for the successful transition of programs into operations and production. Projects will be initiated, executed, and closed out, upon successful transition into production operations. Successful transition will be based on predetermined metrics defined by the team that indicate production process capability has been achieved.The Project Engineering Manager will manage 10 - 15 Engineers between Lincoln and Marion Operations. The PE Manager will ensure consistent application of Project Management processes across the business. The PE Manager will conduct project reviews and readiness meetings to monitor progress and adherence to established processes and procedures. The PE Manager will integrate and work closely with all other functional leads to manage and measure successful production transition.Required Education: B.S. EngineeringRequired Work Experience: 5-10 Years Engineering Experience in Aerospace Industry5-10 Years Engineering Project Management Experience Other Desirable Requirements: Advance Degrees: M.S. Engineering and/or MBA; Project Management Experience - CRAD, IRAD; Proposal Management Experience; Production Transition Experience; Project execution experience with Earned Value Management techniques; Project Management Training; Customer/Government IPT experience in project/program environment.
