Mechanical Operations Quality Authority
Job Description: Reporting to the Vice President of Mechanical Operations, oversee the Quality Assurance and Product Quality integrity for Mechanical Operations plant sites located in Connecticut, Illinois, Nebraska and Singapore. Responsible for the strategic planning and execution of quality improvement plans. Maintain oversight of the quality system to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Coordinate the definition of best practices and the implementation of standard work in support of the quality management system. Provide leadership in the resolution of quality issues. Represent Mechanical Operations on client's Quality Council.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality strategies resulting in the reduction of quality escapes to customers and reductions of cost of poor quality. Key external and internal customer interface for quality requirements and improvements. Utilize ACE methodologies to identify and take action on process and product improvement opportunities. Maintain and report on key quality metrics to Sr. Level Executives and the leadership team within the Mechanical Operations organization. Oversee the Corrective Action Board and Quality Clinic Process for Mechanical Operations. Provide leadership for Process Certification and Standard work implementation within Mechanical Operations. Collaborate with enterprise quality leadership to support global quality initiatives and process improvements.Education: Bachelors in engineering degree required, MBA or Masters degree preferred.Experience/Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of applicable experience in quality, operations or engineering. High energy professional with the ability to lead change across multiple functions and locations. Experience with Mechanical Manufacturing products strongly preferred.
