The position includes the following qualifications:Bachelors' or Masters Degree in physics, mechanical engineering, or optics required and 2 to 5 years related work experience required. Expertise in one or more of the following areas required: fiber-optic communications, fiber-optic sensors, lasers, optical component reliability, optical component fabrication/packaging, and optical interconnect. Candidates must have a strong knowledge and practical experience in spacecraft optics and mechanisms, handling and testing of optical components, and handling flight hardware. Position requires good people skills, communication/presentation skills and good mathematical/analytical skills. A positive, can-do attitude is required. Must work well as a member of a project team but also be strong individual contributor.
