Position: Design Responsible Engineer (Fuel Storage R&D)
Reporting To: Manager, Fuel Storage
Core Competencies
· Design, analysis, fabrication, and testing experience with composite pressure vessels, structures, and related components
· Experience and capabilities in using and interpreting finite element analyses
· Leadership and team training
Responsibilities
· Assign tasks to team members
· Oversee the design, analysis, fabrication, and testing of composite pressure vessels
· Work with program manager(s) to ensure program tasks are accomplished and on schedule
· Advise upper management of schedule or work related issues
· Keep team members informed of schedules and expected progress
· Review and maintain department budgets
Education and/or Experience: BSME Degree Required
3 years in pressure vessel design, analysis, fabrication, and testing
Required Training: Composite design and analysisFinite element modeling/analysis; ANYSYS preferred Leadership/team training
