Materials Supervisor (E Band)

Description of Work: •Provides oversite to MFT employees in MFT supply Operations. Is responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. •Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. •Responsibilities include supervising and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. •Oversees and coordinates activities of stock (supply) control personnel engaged in ordering, stocking and supplying MFT parts or engineer change orders and Government furnished equipment. •Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. •Assigns duties to supply personnel such as fork lift operator and Stock Clerk, to coordinate movement of parts. •Keeps personnel records and stock control records such as non-production time of lines due to stock difficulties, goods returned to production department or salvage department because of defects, and amount and location of goods in storage. •Discusses stock supply or removal requirements with MFT Manager/Team Supervisors. •Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. •Issues written and oral instructions. •Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. •Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of Team members. •Prepares composite reports from individual reports of Team members. *Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock. Count, sort, and weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requistion invoices. *Moves or transports material and supplies to other workers or locations using univerial shipping companies as required. •Adjusts errors and complaints. *Perform duties IAW ISO 9001-2000 requirements. •Other duties may be assigned. *Conduct all section employees' evaluations. Job Requirements: •Associate's Degree or equivalent military experience in maintenance field; Bachelor's Degree preferred •Strong interpersonl skills, communication, and supervisory skills •6-10 years supervisory experience.
