Material Hander I (114.08H)

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

§ High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

§ Requires basic computer and math skills. 

§ Must be able to attain forklift and overhead and/or mobile crane certification. 

§ Must have a valid California drivers license (CDL). 

§ Demonstrate, among peers and with management, a high level of initiative, teamwork, and problem solving skills. 

§ Must be willing to work in a repetitive production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements. 

§ The ability to work as a team player as well as independently is required.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Provide material control services that include the accurate and efficient processing of paperwork, data entry, order picking, delivery, record keeping, and counting of materials, supplies, tools, and finished goods; provide support for packaging and shipping of material to internal and external customers.

§ Apply basic personal computer functions to access production control and material data systems to assist in the development and implementation of shipping and delivery schedules, tool control schedules, manufacturing setup schedules, and production schedules.

§ Work with various departments to prioritize work orders and manufacturing or tool set-up tasks in an assigned production cell.  Assist supervision and workforce in the resolution of work order or shop supply discrepancies, problems and/or concerns.

§ Transport parts, materials, supplies, tools, and production setups by hand or with mechanical devices, such as a tow motors or forklifts.

§ Maintains clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
