Manufacturing/Process Engineer

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer will be responsible for all production engineering aspects associated with kSARIA’s military/ aerospace electrical harnesses and fiber optic assembly products.  The position will be “hands-on” where the individual will be expected to work along side production assemblers in order to achieve goals.  The will have responsibility to achieving customer’s technical requirements and product quality objectives.  This position will report to the Production Engineering Manager. 

 

This individual will be responsible for establishing manufacturing capabilities for military/ aerospace grade electrical assemblies and for bringing on additional capabilities as required by the company’s business. 

 

Responsibilities include the following:

 

·  Electrical Harness & Fiber Optic Cable Production Engineering

· Establishing standard assembly and test procedures for the manufacture of the company’s cable assembly products

· Generation of BOM’s and routing sheets

· Manufacturing equipment maintenance, calibration and set-up

·  Training production assemblers

·  Supervision of assembly team

·  Development of Work Instructions and assembly procedures

·  Coordination of customer communications regarding work order status through sales/ customer service group

 Position Requirements

 Proven work experience in cable assembly production engineering positionThorough knowledge of electrical and fiber optic termination processes for Mil/Aero applicationsHistory of managing and training assembly staffDetail oriented and quality metric drivenUS Citizenship required for US Department of Defense work.Familiarity with ISO 9000 and/ or AS9100 quality management systemsMinimum of 8-10 yrs experience

 Additional Experience Considered

 Familiarity of AS9100 and ISO9000:2001Familiarity with automation equipment a plus.

 Education

 BS in an engineering disciplineFluency in English (verbal and written)
