We currently have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer **FAA Covered**. RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform activities for the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods within the Control Systems Business Unit.Direct involvement during new product development. Work within a development team of engineers from various backgrounds on the initial design of new Control Systems products. These activities include: Participation in Design Reviews Trade Studies Providing the manufacturing estimates As new product development transitions into production, the Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities will continue throughout the entire product life cycle. This will include: Determining and developing the method, operations sequence, equipment, layout and tooling for the fabrication of parts, finishing and assembly, components, subassemblies or final products. Developing manufacturing guides, procedures and illustrations. Assisting in the determination of causes of rejected parts and their disposition. Planning and improving production methods including production flow, tooling, manufacturing methods, and production equipment. Estimating manufacturing costs and determining time standards. Troubleshooting parts, creating manufacturing aides, setting up work stations, rework, routing, return units. REQUIREMENTS: Four year degree: BS in Engineering or Engineering Technical degree. 5+ years of professional manufacturing engineering experience. Experience with standard office personal computer applications. PREFERRED: 10+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience with Pro/E cad software is advantageous. The position for which you applied is considered a 'covered' position. Any person who is performing a FAA-mandated safety-sensitive function; aircraft maintenance or preventative maintenance duties, is subject to pre-employment FAA Drug and Alcohol testing and placed in our random, on-going testing pool.
