This is a defense site executing contracts to major defense industry prime contractors. The primary focus of this position will be to manage and develop a team of people executing tasks on Avionics projects for helicopter or aircraft programs.
The applicant will perform hands on tasks as time allows including preparation of systems or software development plans, writing and analyzing requirements, review of other's work output, and resolving tool issues
BS-EE or BS-CS and 10 years avionics and systems engineering experience required. US Citizen required. A proven track record of increasing leadership responsibilities is required.
Knowledge of performance management is desired. Excellent problem solving skills are desired. Excellent communication skills are required. Conflict analysis and resolution is desired. Cost and schedule management is desired. Knowledge of avionics systems and avionics software is required. Experience with systems engineering and/or software engineering processes is required. Experience integrating and testing large avionics systems is desired. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and MS Project tools is required. Knowledge of Requirements analysis tools such as DOORS, Slate, Team Center is preferred. Knowledge and use of configuration management tools is desired. Ability to manage tasks and delegate work to a team is required.
