Manager, Product Assurance

Holds responsibility for over-all financial, technical, and schedule activities for the Product Assurance function within the Radar Systems business area. Responsible for the effective coordination of Product Assurance activities and the other departments involved in designing and producing goods.'Responsible for the management of the Product Assurance organization. Establish and apply quality policies, standards and procedures, satisfying all requirements of quality system specifications imposed by contracts under foreign and domestic military and commercial jurisdiction. Manage ISO 9000 certification efforts.'Establish, implement and enforce policy and standards for the quality and reliability of the business area's products and services. Coordinate the resolution of material quality issues to preclude adverse impact on Radar Systems.'Contribute and work with the Manager of Operations and the VP of Radar Systems in establishing the long- and short-term business plans and objectives for the business area. Ensure that those objectives are communicated effectively to subordinates. Develop tactical plans and budgets for labor, resources and capacity necessary for function managed.'Ensure that all departments involved in designing and producing goods are in compliance with quality and reliability requirements.'Provide assistance, direction and technical guidance relative to quality and reliability issues involving suppliers and subcontractors, Manufacturing, hardware and software.'Ensure product quality technology is an integral part of engineering design and manufacturing processes.'Perform all of the usual and customary duties related to managing subordinate(s).'Participate in and represent the Radar Systems business area to ITT-wide Quality Counsel activities.'Other related duties and special projects, as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Ten or more years of progressively responsible positions, including management, in Product Assurance or Value Based Six Sigma.
