Honeywell Aerospace currently has an opening for a Guidance & Electrical Systems Site Sourcing Leader.  The Minneapolis Stinson Facility Honeywell Aerospace is an $11B SBG (Strategic Business Group) with 40,000 employees in over 125 domestic and international locations. We are a leading global aviation supplier designing, manufacturing and distributing advanced avionics systems, aircraft engines and systems and related products and services to commercial airlines, business and regional aircraft, defense and space industries. Honeywell Aerospace is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ.
 
The successful candidate will lead the tactical procurement function for the Minneapolis Stinson Site reporting directly to the Guidance & Electrical Sourcing Director. This position is responsible for managing the tactical execution of sourcing and supplier performances with a staff of approximately 15 global employees with over $68 million annual spend. The major focus will be on driving quality, on-time delivery performance of the supply base, improving supplier relationships, and ensuring production needs are met.
 
 
Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:
 
Supplier scorecard refinements, communications, and performance-related actions.Leadership of Planner/Buyer/Administrator and Team LeadsSharing of best practices across Integrated Supply ChainFirm Order Time Fence (FPOT)Promote initiatives for optimizing inventory management and working capital investmentOrganizational development and employee performance managementBudget and manage to departmental expenses including capital toolingInitiate and lead Supplier lead-time reduction effortsGrow, pull programs with the supply baseDriving Emerging Region spend and save as a strategic differentiatorSupport the Commodity organization and implementation of sourcing strategies  

Basic Qualifications:

 



Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related discipline.

Six years experience, which includes time with a world-class purchasing organization.

Six years in a Supervisory position. 
Preferred Qualifications:

 

MBA preferred.

Global purchasing experience preferred.


Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive results in a highly matrixed organization, with an emphasis on building strong teamwork environment.

Resume will demonstrate experience in developing suppliers, implementing process improvements that generate cost reductions and performance enhancements..

SAP experience.

Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution operations.

Verifiable positive results due to strong negotiation skills.

Proven decision making and problem solving skills.

Knowledge of information and planning systems.

Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing certifications.

Demonstrated ability to adapt and manage effectively in a rapidly changing environment working multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
