Direct and coordinate flight assurance activities including design assurance engineering, EEE parts, reliability engineering, flight and ground safety, and configuration and data management, in support of one or more programs. Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality policies, and procedures to ensure all space related products and services are delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, and fully compliant to all contractual requirements. Responsible for the review and approval of suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance. Review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing.Direct and coordinate all Flight Assurance activities on assigned program(s). The support activities shall include as a minimum, Reliability Analysis, Reliability Predictions, Radiation Analysis, Contamination Control, System Safety, Program Product Assurance activities, Subcontractor Assurance oversight, supporting manufacturing and test engineering, supporting Mission Operations and supporting Mission Launch. Will be responsible for reporting to program management and the customer on a as required basis.' Must possess good working knowledge of assurance disciplines, systems engineering, requirements development/management, etc. ' Excellent interpersonal skills required (communication, conflict resolution, etc) ' Effective at identifying root causes of probelms, and developing/implementing corrective actions. Expert knowledge required in nonconformance ' Excellent Management skills are required(budgeting, motivating, planning, process improvement, etc). Experience in supporting proposal/B&P/IRA ' Effective when interfacing with suppliers, as well as internal and external customers Required Qualifications: BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience, minimum of 10 years experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering or an Assurance discipline is required. ' Ability to develop and manage budgets is required. ' Experience with Earned Value management systems is required. ' Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills is a must. ' Excellent interpersonal skills are required (written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, etc) ' Effective in problem-solving and inimplementing corrective actions. ' Proficiency in MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Project) ' Experience with developing requirements and verification plans for flight projects ' Experience with Range Safety requirements desiredBachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university is required; Masters degree in business or a technical discipline is preferred. A minimum of ten years experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering or Assurance discipline is required. Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in business or a technical discipline is strongly preferred.
