MRO Buyer Call (520)323-6903Description: Do you have previous work experience as an MRO Buyer?A reputable company is seeking an MRO Buyer with a minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for procuring material, services and outside processes. Process orders for maintenance supplies, and office supplies, etc. involving competitive sourcing, negotiation and follow-up of orders to ensure quality goods are delivered on time. Process and be responsible for ordering spares and "Bid-for-bid" orders involving soliciting vendor quotes for component parts, negotiating price and processing of purchase orders.ESSENTIAL SKILLS:Receive and comprehend requisitions. Gather competitive bids. Negotiate price. Award purchase orders and process related paperwork. Expedite back and late orders. Develop strong partnerships with suppliers and achieve cost reductions. Work closely with suppliers to improve on-time delivery price and service performance. Communicate with Cost Estimating, Contracts, Quality, P & IC, and Engineering to ensure quality products/services are procured in a timely manner at reasonable costs. Prioritize material after receipt; communicate with receiving inspection supervision as necessary to ensure priorities are inspected in a timely manner. Communicate to management any problems during production process. Assist and advise in problems solving.Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements: The following requirements must be met to qualify for this position: Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor degree preferred. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, writing skills and verbal communication skills. Proven negotiation skills. A working understanding of the issues associated with scheduling and purchasing items in support of a manufacturing environment.
