MANUFACTURING ENGINEER AT RCBI
Manufacturing Engineer at RCBI
The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI), the leading manufacturing technology assistance center in West Virginia, is accepting resumes for a Manufacturing Engineer.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for developing, engineering, programming and delivering industry-based projects which may include CAD/CAM training and assistance, reverse engineering, and a multitude of customized metal and composite technical training based on manufacturers’ needs. This position will work with all RCBI sites in programming, machining and drafting.
Work Experience/Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Software Engineering with a manufacturing emphasis; experience with Metallurgy, Composites, Engineering Materials, Manufacturing Processes and Machining, especially 5-axis and 3-axis software engineering support. Excellent computer, written and oral communications skills are required; particular emphasis on CAD including AutoDesk (Inventor and AutoCAD), Solid Edge/Solid Works and CAM including SurfCAM, MasterCAM and Virtual Gibbs. The ability to work independently to fulfill duties/responsibilities is necessary and the successful candidate must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and the ability to work as part of RCBI’s statewide team.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
