The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business of Tyco Electronics has an opportunity for a Lean Specialist who will be responsible for identifying, facilitating and supporting opportunities for process alignment and best practices across all global regions and facilities. This position will directly support the transformation of the company from a traditional manufacturing process to a lean enterprise. Additional responsibilities: • Subject matter expertise for the purposes of knowledge transfer to employees at all levels • Develop and maintain training curriculum and materials for deployment and development • Teach principles, concepts and practical use of methods and tools to all levels of the organization • Provide coaching on lean implementation, leadership, and philosophies • Develop, present, and explain lean strategy to executive leadership • Drive continuous improvement of the lean process • Manufacturing/Operations (7+ yrs) • Mastery knowledge of lean production systems and basic understanding of six-sigma problem solving techniques • Lead role in at least one successful lean transformation within a significant size operation • Experienced lean implementation for both management systems and physical changes • Extensive, diverse experience implementing and executing projects with significant performance improvements on multiple key performance indicators • Proven experience leading and teaching projects and Kaizens at all levels (shop floor to executive) • Broad Manufacturing & Corporate experience including progressively more responsible management roles in supply chain, engineering, operations and sourcing • Excellent global program management experience • Variation reduction tools and its application • Ability to travel 75% • Education: BS Engineering, Business, or other technical discipline Background Preferred (but not required): • Electrical, electronics, aerospace/defense/marine manufacturing and assembly • Lean Six-Sigma trained: black belt or expert certification • International experience • Foreign language capability If interested, please apply online at http://track.jobviper.com/ViewJob.asp?id=564540-3-513 Contact Information Click here to see all “Tyco Electronics” opportunities Visit our web site to learn more about Tyco Electronics EMAIL THIS JOB TO A FRIEND
