World leader in Defense Electronics products seeks Senior FPGA Digital Design Engineer 

Responsibilities:

You will be the Lead FPGA Design Engineer on integrated product teams, developing light weight, field robust night vision systems that can be integrated into the electronic battlefield.

You will to lead and participate in the design and implementation of FPGA based electronics.

You will analyze customer requirements and system functional allocations and translate them into approaches that meet these requirements within the overall system context.

You will create portions of proposals, statements of work, design review presentations and design documents.


You will perform new product development From concept to full production. 


You will check out and debug FPGA code and associated electronics and assist hardware electronic engineers in verification and debugging of hardware designs.


You will mentor junior engineers.

 You will create briefing materials, present the material as part of both internal and external design reviews and conduct and participate in peer design reviews for the more complex designs and design approaches.

Experience Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

5-10 years experience in Digital Design, including the following areas:
High-speed CPLD and FPGA design experience (Altera and/or Xilinx); designs in VHDL or Verilog; Aldec or Mentor Graphics.
Proficient in the use of simulation tools such as Aldec or ModelSim for assertion based testbenching.
Experience in use of a Configuration Management tool for software development.
Some familiarity with Structured-ASIC and custom ASIC processes.
Previous experience with CCD/CMOS imagers.
Embedded system, software development using assembly language and C/C++
Design using microprocessor, micro-controller, and DSP implementations.
Circuit design, schematic entry, and layout using Allegro tools a plus.
Familiarity with fundamental Electro-Optical/radiometric principles a plus.
Knowledge of image and video processing algorithms and architectures a plus
Experience with MATLAB a plus
You must have demonstrated performance in new product development from concept definition to production release using regimented documentation processes. 
 Must have experience in design of low power, high throughput, low latency designs.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
