Argon ST is currently searching for a Lead Corporate Recruiter to work out of our Fairfax, VA, headquarters building.
Position Description
The Lead Recruiter will have full responsibility for ensuring effective, high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective staffing and employment programs to meet Argon's business and program needs. This is an exciting opportunity to support the fast growth of an award-winning, employer-of-choice!
Responsibilities include:
• Perform as full life cycle Recruiter for experienced positions, particularly those that are senior and/or complex
• Supervise other Recruiter(s) with responsibility for college and experienced positions
• Develop appropriate staffing plans to strategically support the company's short- and long-term needs and objectives; this includes determining advertising strategy, managing relationships with third-party agencies, managing the employee referral program, and ensuring effective and consistent corporate branding/image for recruiting purposes
• Maintain awareness and understanding of all recruiting efforts to ensure appropriateness, effectiveness, etc. for short- and long-term company objectives
• Manage the applicant tracking system, data integrity, and effective use of tools/automation
• Manage recruiting budget, approve expenditures, evaluate effectiveness of investments, etc.
• Manage internal applications, transfers, promotions - ensure coordination between teams and effective communications
• Provide guidance to hiring managers on staffing strategies, writing effective job descriptions, interviewing techniques, employment law, and selection process
• Prepare metrics, reports, and analysis
• Provide employee relations and coaching to both employees and managers
• Ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEOC, DCMA, ISO, CMMI, and other pertinent regulations; prepare Affirmation Action Plans, EEO-1, and VETS-100 reports
• Serve as Corporate resource for other HR team members, particularly those at other locations, with emphasis on recruiting, transfers, and other staffing or related issues
Basic Qualifications
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain US government security clearance required
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 5 years of technical recruiting experience required
• Minimum 1 year supervisory, employment management, or lead recruiter experience required
Other Requirements
• Experience working in a government/defense contracting environment strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems using a strategic, company-focused perspective is critical
• Must have a strong focus on customer service and providing high quality support to the company and candidates
• Ability to multi-task effectively, self-direct, and work proactively
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal) very important
