Lab Support Engineer I

Job Description: Work as part of a multifunctional team in the general area of equipment, facility, and critical process tool maintenance, improvement, and procurement. The desired candidate will assume maintainability of critical equipment within the cleanroom. -Ability to schedule and track planned system maintenance and repair. -Responsible for equipment enhancement - improve maintainability, cleanliness, materials, performance, etc -Monitor and track cleanroom utilities such as bottled gases, temperature, particle count, and chilled water. -Responsible for equipment maintenance and repair - lead equipment repair and eliminate downtime. -Review and maintain equipment and process SPC. -Generate PM procedures, interface with instrumentation support and train operators. -Ensure a safe working environment. Required Skills: -Minimum 2 yrs experience in manufacturing environoment -Minimum 2 yrs experience in cleanroom work environment (up to Class 100) -Experience with vacuum system repair Desired Skills: -Experience with ultra-precision machining, milling, or diamond turning -Experience with deposition equipment processes and trouble shooting. -Understanding of basic database entries, and tracking -Familiarity with various microscopes and inspection techniques -Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) -Knowledge of chemical etching and solvent cleaning. -Knowledge to perform simple electrical wiring, and plumbing -Sound knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts -Excellent demonstrated mechanical aptitude -Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics -Experience with instruments to trouble shoot down equipment such as RGA, leak detectors, multi meters, and vacuum gauges Required Education: Bachelor's degree (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
