Jr. Information Assurance Engineer/Analyst This is a temporary position. REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP. Candidate must possess an active SECRET security clearance Position Description : A positions' primary duties will include the monitoring and the initial investigating of real-time security events being generated by varying network security technologies (IDS, firewall, router, AV, server logs), fed through the SEIM system, in order to discover potential threats to the enterprise. As part of the team, the selected candidate will be expected to assist in: * Ability to identify, evaluate, conduct, schedule, and lead technical Security Operations analysis functions * Sustain existing SEIM security infrastructure deployed assets in the customer's enterprise. * Develop customized rules, filters, dashboard and procedures of the SEIM system for less experienced team members * Conduct analysis on vulnerability reports to remove false positive and propose recommendation to remedy identified weaknesses * Supporting computer security incident response of events on the network. * Identify, evaluate, conduct and assist in computer security incident investigations * Provide subject matter expertise in SEIM technology and operations processes/procedures * Provide guidance and expertise to less experienced team members. Required Skills: - DoD and/or IC program experience. - Experience with DCID 6/3 or equivalent Government certification and accreditation processes Experience in Vulnerability Assessment or Penetration Testing. - Good writing, oral and interpersonal skills. Desired Skills: - Familiar with commercial-off-the-shelf security technologies and trusted products. - Desired Certifications: (one or more of the following) CISSP, ISSEP, ISSAP, ISSMP, CCNA, GSEC, GCFW, GCWN, GCUX, GCIH, GCFA, GCNA, GCIA, CISM, CISA, ACIA, ACSA Six Sigma, Integrated Product Development System, FISMA and/or Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance. Required Education (including Major): Requires a BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent with multiple years of experience working with complex, networked communications systems.
