We are currently looking for a temporary Jr IT Technician. The IT Technician resolves routine technical problems for software, computers, networks and/or telephones utilizing standard troubleshooting methods; provides instructions and assistance to end-users in the use of information technology systems and processes for commonly used systems; records and maintains accurate records of assigned work tasks on a timely basis; escalates incidents to more senior level personnel that cannot be handled; follows IT policies and procedures and clearly written work instructions in the execution of their job duties; records service requests and assist customer in the resolution of the request or transfer the request to the appropriate person; performs system configuration, installation, quality assurance, transport, deliver and retrieve equipment as assigned; and runs various reports on IT performance, usage or capacity. May be requested to respond to incidents and requests after normal business hours.

Qualified candidate will possess 1 - 2 years of experience, have a high school diploma, have basic personal computer skills, be capable of achieving customer satisfaction, have motivation to continue to improve ones own knowledge and skills, and be able to understand and use IT incident, problem, and change tracking systems.  Must have basic technical knowledge that can be further developed to become productive in an IT environment and knowledge of IT processes and procedures. Must be able to analyze typical problems and develop skills to accurately apply the correct solution, to implement standardized assigned tasks in an accurate manner, to interpret technical instructions to customers via telephone, email, written documents or in person, and to effectively execute assigned tasks according to assigned priority.

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
