Travel of 10 to 15% may be requiredPrinciple Accountabilities:Audit records and processes of assigned programs, business units, and functional areas to ensure transactions are recorded according to applicable laws, regulations, General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), contract requirements, and internal policiesResponsibilities May Include:Assess the effectiveness of internal controls established to assure ongoing compliance.Makes appropriate recommendations to correct deficiencies and/or to improve controls and procedures.Researches and prepares audit findings and makes recommendations to management.Provides operational support during the phase-in of new contracts to ensure proper implementation of compliance procedures.Develops and/or modifies compliance policies and procedures. Knowledge & Skills:Must demonstrate ability to analyze operations in various functions/environments, identify procedural/control deficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvement.Demonstrate proficiency in finance and accounting relational databases and spreadsheet applications.Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Excellent communication, (oral and written), effective leadership and interpersonal skills.Able to travel if required.Able to seek and hold security clearance if required Experience:Typically four (4) to six (6) years of audit experience.Prefer Government contract experience, knowledge of COSO internal control framework, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 experience.Required SkillsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
