Integrated Scheduling Specialist 4 Position Description Independently prepares program and/or project level schedules for non-recurring aspects of new business acquisitions and proposals. Leads, directs, facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners. Leads, directs and facilitates risk and opportunity analysis, identification and resolution of critical path and network logic conflicts. Leads, directs and facilitates, using accepted project management/integrated scheduling techniques, to status and measure progress. Coordinates with management to develop a corrective action plan for performance variances. Leads the integration and schedule impact analysis of complex and/or multiple schedule changes. Oversees configuration control of integrated program plans and schedules. Is an expert at taking advantage of available resources (individuals, processes, departments, and tools) to complete work efficiently; coordinates with internal and external partners. Uses time effectively and prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion. [ + ] Project Management Extensive experience in creating comprehensive multi-tiered project schedules for significant Business Unit projects; identifies time frames for key project milestones and ensure alignment of sub tier activities for overall project visibility, tracking and completion. Directs and manages very complex project schedules requiring interfacing with multi regional or international activities. Independently identifies project resource requirements, integrate and direct multi project elements into a single collective overall project plan. Collaborates with others on the most complex projects assigned. Ability to direct, delegate and ensure performance of assigned responsibilities and tasks as a project team leader in support of the overall large scale and complex projects. Identifies and resolves any issues and provide solutions and or recommendations to ensure the successful completion of the project. Technical [ + ] Critical Path Methodology Extensive and specialized knowledge of critical path network methodology (e.g., logic, relationship/interdependency, early/late, start/complete, minimum duration). [ + ] Earned Value Management Extensive and specialized knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and its application. [ + ] Proj Sched & Resource Mgmt Extensive, specialized ability to create comprehensive multi-tiered project schedules for significant Business Unit projects. Extensive, specialized ability to identify time frames for key project milestones, ensure alignment of sub tier activities for overall project visibility, tracking and completion, direct and manage more complex project schedules requiring interfacing with multi regional or international activities, independently identify project resource requirements, and integrate and direct multi project elements into a single collective overall project plan. Extensive, specialized ability to collaborate with others on the very complex projects assigned. [ + ] Risk Assessment Methodology Extensive and specialized knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools to update and develop mission essential lists/minimum equipment lists (MEL). Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Job related information Open Plan Professional (OPP) experience considered a plus. Microsoft Project and Milestones Professional Experience also desirable.
