Infrastructure Architect

Australian Based PositionIT & TelecommunicationsDefence or Validation & Verification

This position represents a once in a lifetime opportunity.  You will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of IT and communications architectures that will be used in a large automated mobile equipment production system (many of which will be wireless). Your core duties will include large scale systems integration, evaluation and recommendation of commercial-off-the-shelf and special-to-type hardware/infrastructure combined with the validation and verification of new software and firmware. This includes the development of standards and procedures for V&V and testing.  These are substantial collaborative systems that will also need to seamlessly integrate with this company’s world-wide commercial systems.

Your tertiary qualifications could come from a broad base of disciplines including Electronics, IT, Telecommunications and/or Systems Engineering.  A broad base of design and integration experience in at least some of the following is mandatory – LAN/WAN/MAN, wireless networks (WiMAX etc.), spatial tracking, RF (UHF and VHF), TCP/IP, network security and system design.

The end result of your efforts will represent a worlds-first in technological achievement and will no doubt set the benchmark for other companies to follow.  If you have some of the skills needed for the above then we would like to hear from you.  A highly competitive remuneration package is on offer for a person with the appropriate skills and experience.

Initial enquiries may be directed in strict confidence to Bruce Jacobssen on +61 (8) 8357 8655.  Please send your application letter quoting reference number BJ13569 and your current resume by selecting the Apply button at the end of this ad.
