A company dedicated to mixing superior people with state-of-the-practice technology to deliver consistently powerful results.DescriptionThis position works with the North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Theater NetOps Control Center (TNCC) Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense (IA/CND) Office at Peterson AFB. The job involves providing NORAD-USNORTHCOM with assistance and advisory support to perform continuous network monitoring operations for identification of on-going attacks against HQ N-NC networks and/or interconnected systems; provide real-time analysis, response and reporting for HQ N-NC network attacks and security incidents; correlate network events with supporting network data, threat data, and technical vulnerability information; maintain global situational awareness of Information Assurance events threatening HQ N-NC Area of Responsibility; and draft event/incident reports (Event Assessment Reports, Item of Interest, etc.) to document and report significant network events affecting HQ N-NC networks. Individual will be responsible for creating IA/CND incident and status slides for morning briefs, and reporting and tracking INFOCON changes including actions taken by HQ/Subordinate Commands/Components. Individual will assist in tracking IAVA compliance of HQ/Subordinate Commands/Components in support of the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program.Required SkillsRecent IA/CND operational experience in a theater or MAJCOM network operations and security center (e.g., TNCC, NOSC, AFNOC, etc.) Candidates must possess the ability to react/respond/brief on significant IA/CND events that occurred and/or are occurring in the NORAD and USNORTHCOM Area of Responsibility. Qualifed candidate must have a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GSEC, Comp TIS Security+, SCNP, or SSCP certification.Required ExperienceRequires Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or Engineering, or equivalent, and five to seven years related experience. Requires Candidates must have experience with the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program. As part of the program, the candidate will be required to track IAVA compliance for all HQ NORAD-USNORTHCOM subordinate and component organizations, as well as assist in the development of IA/CND policies and procedures for the Command. This individual must be fully conversant with all aspects of DoD and Joint Service IA Directives, Instructions, Manuals and Regulations. This individual will have a demonstrated ability to write Staff Summary Packages and other technical documents. They will be proficient in the use of Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer and Access. They will have a strong knowledge of network topologies, vulnerabilities and network risks. Knowledge of NORAD-USNORTHCOM roles, missions, and organization is desired.
