Hardware/Mechanical Cost Accounting Manager

Defense & Security Systems:Sensis Defense & Security Systems division increases tactical capabilities through advanced radar detection and surveillance integration products. Customers include the worlds militaries as well as system integrators. Sensis' expeditionary radar program team is looking for a Cost Accounting Manager with a mechanical and/or hardware engineering background to lead the efforts on a portion of a new expeditionary radar system. This individual will oversee the technical staff completing development and be responsible for planning and effective project execution. The Cost Accounting Manager also coordinates engineering development activities with manufacturing and program leadership at Sensis and the prime contractor.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Oversight of all aspects of radar equipment development and integration with the prime's equipment- Establishment and support of a requirements and design baseline- Establishment of plans and processes for managing documentation development and revision - Participate in the planning and collecting of data and metrics in support of program success- Support of the prime contractor's technical/engineering leads, as well as all Sensis technical leads, for the smooth execution of program activities- Proactively manage people and facility resources to meet program goals and milestones- Assist in product management through participation in product configuration control boards and problem resolution boards- Provide training, career development, mentoring, coaching and performance appraisals for team members- Acquire and maintain tools and competencies needed to execute the team's functions. Education Required:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with hardware design/development experienceYears of Experience:- At least 10 years experience leading engineering development of large, complex systems. - At least 3 years project planning for an engineering element of a program.- Experience with development of military products, and especially ground-based radar systems, is desirableRequired Skills: - Strong leadership, communication, planning, motivational and teamwork skills.- Experience with reporting, establishing plans, tracking projects, assessing program progress and productivity. - Demonstrated ability to make clear technical presentations (oral or written) to the Prime Customer and/or their customer.- Ability to mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve their full potential. - Results oriented.- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security clearance. - Candidates should be able to respect the options, contributions and values of other team members. - Candidates should have a high standard of quality.
