Hardware Engineering Specialist 2

US-VISIT is a DHS biometric program. The Hardware Engineering Specialist will provide support to the data center infrastructure. This includes defining, in detail, the hardware specifications and creation of the bill of materials. Oversee and manage the procurement of the required hardware. Required Skills: Qualified candidates must have the following: - 2+ years experience specifying hardware configurations based on technical requirements. - 2+ years creating and documenting technical architecture specifications or design documents. - 2+ years delivering technology in a formal SDLC methodology. - 2+ years installing and configuring hardware and software shipped image. - 2+ years Linux, AIX or Solaris administration experience. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or experience equivalent to a degree). - Must have 4-6 years progressive and relevant IT experience. Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications to access classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
