Hardware Electrical Engineer
Systems Division provides select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total worldwide systems solutions for their air and missile defense, air traffic control, communications, command and control, range, spacelift, surveillance, and force protection needs, as well as full logistics support services for facilities and equipment. Develop and apply technical solutions in support of hardware sustainment projects for the Eglin radar system. Includes system and subsystem performance evaluation and characterization; requirements definition and development, design specification development and review, and product integration. Conducts on-site installation, integration and checkout testing and support of test engineers as needed.' Conduct all facets of basic engineering processes: identify technical objectives necessary to satisfy customer needs and expectations; develop subsystem requirements; perform product design minimally at the block level; strategize implementation methods; and orchestrate unit and system level testing.' Analyze existing hardware and formulate repair actions utilizing new solutions with current technologies.' Integrate and verify compatibility with existing systems down to the component level to include Interfacing with existing testing, monitoring, and control panels.' Support independent test organizations during integration and operational testing.' Create technical order text and draft production level engineering drawings.' Travel to sensor sites and other locations as required in support of assigned tasks.' Other duties as assigned Minimum: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering plus 6 years work experience; MS in engineering plus 4 years work experience. ' Relevant equivalent experience may apply.' Experience with electrical distribution, analog and digital electronic circuitry, and radio frequency (RF) systems.' Ability to work in a fast pace environment, in particular, to conduct all engineering process tasks in a period of one year.' Experienced in trade off analysis in support of and solution and component selection.' Capable of operating test equipment (Network Analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters.)' Strong writing and oral communication skills are required.' Must work well in a team environment and be able to competently interface with customers, government representatives, peers and associates.' Proficiency with MS Office and Internet tools. Minimum: Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required; may be required to obtain an interim clearance within 6 months of document submittal.
