HR Manager

The Human Resources Manager/BA HR Partner supports the BA Program office in managing and overseeing BA/site employee related issues including employee selection, employee orientation, employee relations, employment documentation, termination, coaching and counseling employees and management, coordinating company functions, and preparation and monitoring Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), all in accordance with company policy and local, state and federal guidelines.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Employee Relations - Working with BA Management, investigates issues and concerns and facilitates timely and effective resolution of employment related issues. 

Staffing/Recruitment – Working with BA management on workforce planning, job description development, attraction and retention of employees, employee orientation/new hire processing. Supporting corporate recruitment team in staffing process and recruitment programs.  Participates in the employee selection process by screening applicants in accordance with SNC’s AAP.  Responsible for all HR tasks related to rehiring or transferring employees, such as preparation and obtaining approval on offer letters, etc.

New Hire Orientation/ Documentation -
Reviews the Employee Handbook, Work Hours Statement, Job Description Database  and other new hire requirements and employment documentation for in processing. 

Terminations -
Processes terminating employees, attending exit interview/termination meeting and ensuring completion of all necessary paperwork, in accordance with company procedures. 

Performance Management -
Working with BA Management, employees and the training manager, coordinates and ensures the effectiveness of the introductory and annual review process. Initiates and monitors the review process, performs analysis and provides approval of all employee performance ratings and reviews within the Business Area. 

Counseling -
Provides support to BA Management in counseling employees in accordance with company policies.

Company Functions -
Planning and oversight of company functions (i.e. Monthly Anniversaries, Physical Fitness Event, Year-End Meeting) and ensures functions are executed within budget. 

Employment Verifications -
Verify employment of past and present employees. 

Record Keeping -
Maintains complete and accurate employment records, whether electronic or paper. 

HRIS -
Administers the HRIS Employee Information database, ensures accurate data and provides recommendations to Enterprise HR Team for improvements.  Runs reports as appropriate.

Organizational Planning & Development –
Partners with BA management to promote effective communication, leadership, coaching & development, organizational planning & structure, training, succession planning, change management and overall team success.

Organizational Charts -
Responsible to support maintenance and update of Business Area organizational structure to ensure current and accurate at all times

Tuition Reimbursement & Professional Certification Requests -
Reviews requests and coordinates with BA Management to ensure training is within Company guidelines. 

Ethics Compliance -
Serves as the local BA Ethics Compliance Officer, responsible to BA Program office and Corporate Ethics Compliance Office through timely response and investigation of issues and concerns.

Leave of Absence Coordination/Management -
Ensures that leaves are coordinated and documented in accordance with federal/state guidelines. 

Support Company's EEO & AAP plans, actions and tracking

Salary Planning -
Responsible for base pay management, to include market analysis, survey participation and internal equity analysis.  Development and implementation of consistent, fair and equitable pay practices within Business Area.

Enterprise HR –
Partnership with corporate HR team on enterprise-wide initiatives, policy development and implementation, and adherence to EEO, AAP and related programs.

Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Bachelors degree, or Human Resource Certificate with four years of exempt level HR experience, is required.

Minimum of 6 years of exempt level HR experience is also required. 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws is necessary (DOL, FLSA, FMLA, AAP, etc. ).

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required.

Visio, Lotus Notes email and applications are a plus.

Strong organization and interpersonal communication skills 

The ability to handle sensitive, confidential information, with discretion and judgment

Government Security Clearance may be required, depending on BA assigned.
