GIS Proj Mgmt Specialist - Level 3 (JLF/MV/SME/1.3.1) Position Description Collaborate across NGA on systems issues both in theater and CONUS; Establish Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) for NGA Support to combat operations based on lessons learned from the current Iraq and Afghanistan issues. Facilitate COST partnerships developed from internal and NSG combat operations requirements. Advise COST leadership on technical issues related to GIS and GEOINT related to the COST mission with special emphasis on the mission in Iraq and Afghanistan. Facilitate the coordination of GEOINT data and data base requirements for Iraq and Afghanistan with the purpose of acquiring such a database. Partner with the COST program manager to keep the COST leadership fully advised on progress as to schedule, budget, and alert COST management to any pending issues that will jeopardize projects. Maintain cognizance of day-to-day critical COST activities pertaining to systems technology and data, communicating issues and concerns to the COST leadership. Provide systems technology and GIS program management services to facilitate the accomplishments of projects, tasks and initiatives of NGA elements engaged in collaboration and partnership initiatives with the Combat Operations Community. This includes coordinating technical issues within and across NGA and the NSG by performing technical analysis and assessing program and related activity impacts. Due to the variety of GIS formats, software packages, and databases used in NGA, the FTE providing these services must collaborate extensively across NGA and the IC, working with a variety of multi-intelligence specialists. Other Job related information Position will be based in Springfield, VA and will require on-site work at various locations throughout the DC Metro area. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and customer approval pre start.
