This position assists in the preparation of Corporate financial data, assuring accuracy of this data.  Complex analysis and reconciliation is involved, requiring a high degree of clerical effort and independent judgment in determining the proper accounting actions for company transactions.

Specifically, this position will be responsible for the Accounts Payable function within an Oracle ERP system, including processing of supplier invoices, check requests, expense reports and disbursements, as well as reconciliation of the Accounts Payable trial balance.

Quite a bit of interaction with both internal and external parties is required.  Internally, this involves partnering with personnel from the Company's Procurement function in order to resolve any issues.  Externally, interfacing with Corporate suppliers is necessary.  This requires good communication skills and a proven capability in building positive working relationships with groups like these.

Broad based understanding of Accounts Payable will be essential, including experience with checking and verifying assignment of proper cost distribution codes and assuring accuracy and effecting changes as necessary.

Must have the following:
* AS in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent, and 2 years experience in Accounts Payable, or;
* HS Diploma, or equivalent, with additional courses in Math and Accounting and a minimum of 6 years A/P experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to the Advanced level
* Highly organized and detail oriented


Prefer the following:
* Prior experience with an Oracle Accounting System
