Job Responsibilities:
- Under consultative direction, leads analysis of financial metrics.
- Provides support to programs and projects through the development of Program Financial Cost Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Earned Value Management.
- Ensures adherence to related compliance requirements as well as training & support of less experienced analysts.
• Conducts analysis of financial statements & associated risks/opportunities to provide understanding of financial performance to internal stakeholders
• Initiates assignments & leads integration & analysis of Estimates at Completion (EACs) & financial and/or resource forecasts
• Develops, reviews, analyzes & maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines & variance analyses.
• Defines & communicates cost and/or schedule trends & quantifies cost and/or schedule risks • Leads project startup by conducting planning & implementation activities such as work/organization breakdown structure development & responsibility assignment matrix development
• Makes recommendations for program financial & performance improvements
• Develops & implements compliance plans
• Leads development of strategic plans & business cases using appropriate financial indices
• Leads & integrates the collection & documentation of requirements for training, processes & new tool development
• Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process & tool issues, determine root cause & recommend solutions requires expert knowledge in both EVMS (Earned Value Management System) & COBRA.
- Requires a working knowledge of MS Project.
- A mastery of COBRA is desired.
- A demonstration of good verbal, written and computer skills at a level resulting in internal customer confidence in accuracy of financial data.
- Must have strong business acumen and ability to communicate financial results in a clear and concise manner.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Law and 10+ years of related work experience and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
