_ ITT Communications Systems (CS)We are currently looking for a Field Engineer to conduct and/or assist in the field test, demos and on-site installations. Perform interface with customer maintenance and operations personnel and assure their familiarity with system test, line-up, and maintenance procedures. Assist in preparation and implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance procedures for a specific communication system in the field. Participate in in-plant test of communication systems with engineering personnel. Perform field maintenance on various equipment and assist in training of the customer's test, maintenance and operation personnel. Position Requires 90 - 100% travel.We are a CMMI Level III organization; that shows our commitment to process excellence. Equivalent Education Level Required: Two (2) years of engineering technical school, relating to electronic theory and circuitry.Experience Required: Six to eight years of experience in SINCGARS installation and Army logistics operations (operation & unit level testing), with at least two years field experience. Experience with company systems and products with a military communications and/or electronic system background desired.Knowledge Required: Extensive knowledge of military tactical communications systems. Broad knowledge of electronic theory, circuitry, mechanics and assembly techniques. Experience in formal classroom training and training development is an asset.Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
