Facilities Safety Manager

Required:BS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Safety Engineering or related discipline with 7+ years experience; Solid background with emphasis on hazardous materials, pressure vessels/systems, electrical safety, machine guarding, facilities safety, hearing conservation, ergonomics and lockout tagout. A strong working knowledge of Federal, State and local regulatory compliance requirements, Cal-OSHA and OSHA, and ASME guidelines. Demonstrated leadership experience able to establish goals, standards, work independently or in a team environment, and plan and execute projects on time and within budget. Must have safety training experience in hazard communication, lockout tagout, hearing conservation, ergonomics and confined space entry. Good management skills and practice, conflict resolution, effective decision-making, strong technical leadership and interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of project and institutional customers. Ability to develop and implement effective health and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements. Desired: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or (Certified Industrial Hygienist) CIH . Knowledge in: Regulatory Compliance, General Industry Safety Orders (e.g.,Hazardous Materials, Hazard Communication, confined space entry) as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and team-building skills. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and follow-through on technical programs.
