Executive Assistant II/CAC2S Operations Manager

Relieves the Program Manager and deputy Program Manager, of administrative functions in order to increase the time available for other responsibilities. Handles a wide variety of complex and confidential situations and resolves conflicts involving the administrative and clerical functions within the program office. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Assignments involve work of a confidential nature and require extensive knowledge of USMC staffing and task management company practices and procedures as wells as judgment and discretion. Serves as the executive's representative at meetings and express the executive's viewpoints at such meetings. Contacts or responds to contacts from high ranking individuals from higher headquarters and may involve unique situations and each contact must be handled differently, using judgment and discretion. Facilitates decision-making. Assembles and analyzes information, prepares reports, manuals, agendas, correspondence and memoranda. Prepares complex and involved reports including conclusions and recommendations for solution of operational and administrative problems. Arranges and schedules appointments and travel reservations. In executive's absence, ensures that requests for action or information are relayed to the appropriate staff member. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.QualificationsThis position requires an Associates degree and 10 years of related experience. Secret clearance. Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required. Knowledge of the USMC staffing processes. In depth knowledge of acquisition processes. Understanding of the DOD travel system and capability of tracking travel funding.
