Description of Work: This position is for an embedded training subsystems design engineer. Responsibilities include developing requirements and subsystems design for the development of a training system embedded on a military vehicle. Requirements and design are flowed down to software and hardware requirements. Candidate will work with hardware and software engineers during requirements generation, design, test and integration. Responsibilities also include technical management of Software suppliers, integration of embedded training software onto the vehicle, troubleshooting and support. Candidate will be responsible for defining interfaces and data communications between the embedded training system and other vehicle subsystems. Prior Product Development experience (System design, Software Design, or Subsystem Hardware Design) in Training and/or Weapon System Simulation Applications is highly desirable. COTS software products are used for the development and deployment of simulation based training systems. These COTS software tools include simulation networking, visualization, management and analysis capabilities utilizing standard High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) simulation protocols. Knowledge of these protocols is desirable. Job Requirements: - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Embedded Systems, Software or related engineering field.
