Engineering Assistant

The advanced Engineering and Technology Division (AETD) of Belcan is a global provider of highly technical engineering services to a wide variety of industries. We are currently looking for Engineering Assistants.Responsibilities:Support engineers and managers in the following tasks:• Input data into databases, validate for accuracy, run queries, generate reports and presentations• Preparation and review of manuals, engineering studies and reports• Maintain technical libraries• Management of project cost, schedule, ISO quality, and project status reporting• Coordination of design review meetings. Prepare documentation packages for review, issue agendas and meeting minutes • Preparation of specifications and design calculations• Design, including concept sketches and layouts• Review and check designs, drawings and data from engineers, designers and vendors• Coordinate with manufacturers and subcontractors, review design documents and equipmentQualifications:• Education (desired): Associate degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.• Experience (desired): Knowledge of the aerospace industry standard practices and project organization• Ability to learn various desktop computer programs and applications (required)• Proficiency in all MS Office Software, especially Excel• Adobe Acrobat Distiller/Writer, Open Plan, COBRA, MS Project, DOORS experience a plus • Excellent communication skills• Highly organized, detailed & multi-task oriented and flexibleDue to the nature of the work, applicants must be U.
