POSITION SUMMARY: Provide analytical support to project and systems engineers in the aerospace and industrial departments. Most of the work revolves around sizing and analyzing company’s pneumatic components and systems.
Successful candidate will: Develop models and perform steady state and dynamic analysis on mechanical and electro-mechanical components.Develop and analyze integrated hardware systems and control models.Generate reports based on the analysis efforts and results.Assist in writing technical proposals in areas of analytical performance and sizing in response to customer specifications and inquiries.Assist technically in the design, development and qualification testing of new equipments.Participate in a variety of design reviews.Perform mathematical dynamic modeling of mechanical components and integrated systems.Knowledge and experience in computer simulations and control theory and application.Excellent understanding of the laws of physics in the fields of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of solids, and material properties, etc.Perform Finite Elements and Computational Fluid dynamic analysis.Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; and five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of military and commercial aerospace specifications, standards, design and development. Proficiency with computers and common business and technical software such as FORTRAN, EASY5, MATLAB- SIMULINK, MICROSOFT OFFICE, C, C++. Requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common customer and agency specifications. Effectively interpret needs of Projects and Systems engineering for analytical tasks and present information to project engineers and company’s customers. With limited supervision, the ability to prepare and present Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) to customers.
