Teledyne Turbine Engines designs small gas turbine engines for the defense industry.  The successful candidate will perform structural/mechanical dynamic analysis, which includes shaft critical speeds and unbalance response, engine model analysis, blade disc stress and environmental shock response, sine, random response, transient and steady state thermal analysis, elastic and inelastic stress analysis on rotating and static hardware, fracture mechanics analysis for critical and sub-critical cracks, low cycle fatigue and high cycle fatigue analysis on gas turbine enignes.

 

Requirements:  U. S. Citizen for Security Clearance.  BS Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering (MS Degree preferred).  Working knowledge of ANSYS standards, Unigraphics NX3, bearing and seals theory and rotating systems.  Structural/mechanical analysis.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
