Our Defense and Space Helicopter business is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer II to support products and technology that are Condition Based Maintenance enablers that add value for our customers by applying easy to understand advanced technology solutions to complex problems that increase operational readiness, reduce operating costs, and improve safety
 
The Technical Support Engineer II will:
Assist customers with technical support and field training in the operation of systems on their aircraft, providing both on-site and remote technical supportPerform field training software installations on customer owned systems and setup of customer owned computersPerform system testing on completed aircraft installations and work with customers to integrate engineering changes into airframeFix problems quickly and accurately ensuring proper quality checks have been performed before the equipment is returned to the customer and repair deadlines are metWrite Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for hardware updates and support the ECR meetings as neededAuthor vibration system databases for new aircraft typesAssist mechanical engineering in design of system installation packagesCoordinate with Army Systems Engineering to support the Air-worthiness processProvide field support to engineering for evaluation of new setup files and software functionalityWrite trip reports to document the findings of your testing and archive data on the network for sharing with the engineering teamEnter Test Track Bugs for Software problems and works with the software team to resolve issues and champion new featuresProvide creative cost effective technical solutions to problems experienced by our customersEffectively communicate your ideas to the engineering teamWork with existing customers to find way to extend equipment use on additional aircraft and modelsOther responsibilities as assigned Basic Qualifications:
2-20 years experience in Aviation and Field SupportCandidates must be able to obtain a security clearanceLicensed DriverExcellent Communication SkillsAbility to Operate General Office Equipment and software such as Adobe, Windows, and Office Suite Preferred Qualifications:
Army experience strongly preferred (CW1-4, Crew Chief, Staff Sergeant or similar)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (may substitute degree with direct experience)Prior experience with HUMs (Health and Usage Monitoring) highly desirable

**Relocation Assistance is not provided with this position - preferred candidates will live a commutable distance to our Huntsville, AL facility at 6767 Old Madison Pike**
